So under those terms, would a mutate child of Talon and Maggie be a Mutate or a Mutant? It occurs to me that the reason Greg calls the Mutates "mutates" is because the were not BORN mutants, they were MUTATEd later in life.
Like I said though, I think the baby will be written as a Mutate, and thats alright, surely when we are in such an ambiguous area of science fiction it isn't hard to find explanations for why things happen. The blood-testis barrier and the fact that all human eggs are formed long before sexual maturity means that both gametes should be just plain old human cells. I think Greg will write that the baby will be a Mutate, however in real world terms (as real world as you can get talking about this sorta thing), I think the baby would turn out pretty much 100% human.
